Far Out Waves

Fly into the wild meadows of Cosmic Butterflies. Here, the soundtrack is something more than a melody with a message—it’s a journey. We are an artist collective based in Austin, with songs and soundscapes that invite listeners to feel what’s real. Consider our tunes as your accompaniment on a road trip, nature walk, yoga session—far out waves for the way home.

A new release, appearing on our third album, “And A Dancing Bear.”
Open Doors

Our songs are open doors, with paths to explore. We offer variety, blending the excited allure of psychedelic rock with the earthy warmth of folk, like country music for space cowboys. We call the genre “folkadelic.” What sets us apart? Maybe it’s the flute, weaving through acoustic and electric instrumentation. Maybe it’s the frequency, inviting listeners through the great mystery. Or maybe it’s the inviting rhythms, relatable vocals, and high vibrations of Peace, Love, Grace, and Truth.

“We Used to Run” is a song that recalls the time before time. The music video, directed by songwriter Cabe Lindsay, stars actors Kora Tien Kinard and Mattheus Lubin. This song exemplifies our psychedelic rock sound, from our second album, Lover Songs. Elsewhere on the same album is the sentimental “Still With You”, currently leading our songs with 3,000+ Spotify streams in 2025.

Our current fan favorite on Spotify, appearing on the album, “Lover Songs.

Our ensemble showcases a wide range of sounds, from the glissando of a concert harp to the soul-stirring waves of a cello. You’ll hear a skank guitar in “The Voice,” and a choir of celestial voices in “Home.” Each song is a dance between body, heart, mind, and soul. Our debut album is the ethereal Colors Flying, and our follow-up is the heart-thumping Lover Songs, followed by a third record of 22 experimental progressive house tracks: And A Dancing Bear.

Our songs are ecstatic. By this, we mean they stretch listeners into the heights of sensation, the depths of connection, and the middle ground of co-creation. The harmonizing qualities of our songs represent a movement to unify tribes of kindred spirits from all walks of life. We invite you to join in and enjoy. Music Matters to Us

They say the principles of music are: melody, harmony, rhythm, dynamics, timbre… and it’s also more than that. Music is an expression that leads to connection. Beyond an art form, it’s a familiar sensation of being home, safe and sound. If you choose to, you can let this music embrace you, elevate you, and hold space for your resonance and radiance from the core of your being.
