Introduction: Cosmic Butterflies, the Austin, Texas-based folk rock band, is proud to present their latest musical offering, Lover Songs. This album is a heartfelt expression of romantic love, capturing the essence of anticipation, attraction, and intimate connection, through twelve captivating tracks. Lover Songs, released in 2024, is the follow-up album to the debut, Colors Flying, released in 2021.

Album Concept: Lover Songs delves into the various angles of romance, each song painting a picture of this relatable experience. From the exhilarating rush of new love to the profound depth of oneness in intimacy, the album takes listeners on a journey through the winds, fires, waves, and fertile grounds of love.

Musical Style: Drawing inspiration from artists like Devendra Banhart, Nick Mulvey, and Trevor Hall, Cosmic Butterflies infuse their folk rock sound with catchy melodies, touching lyrics, and astonishing instrumentation. The result is a soundscape that is both intricate, pleasant, and full of surprises.

Band Members
  • Cabe Lindsay (Lead Vocals, Guitar): As the band’s singer-songwriter and leader, Cabe Lindsay brings a range of artistic prowess to Cosmic Butterflies. His rhythm guitar and smooth vocals serve as the driving force behind the band’s sound.
  • David Nuss (Drums): With a studio presence on over 100 albums, David Nuss is a seasoned drummer whose dynamite rhythms provide the backbone of Cosmic Butterflies’ music, infusing each track with energy and groove.
  • Shiloh Travis (Bass): Holding down the low end, Shiloh Travis brings depth and resonance to the band’s sound, anchoring the melodies with his skillful bass lines.
  • Vic Wheeler (Flute): Adding graceful elegance to the mix, Vic Wheeler’s flute melodies soar and dance alongside the lead vocals, and he also adds outstanding vocal backing.
  • Honey Harken (Vocals): A budding vocalist with a voice that is sultry and emotional, Honey Harken lends her talents to Cosmic Butterflies, adding a sensual allure to the harmonies.
  • Rebecca Sterling (Keyboard): Completing the core ensemble, keyboardist Rebecca Sterling delivers tasteful licks to enhance the overall flavor.
  • Additional Contributors: This album also features world-renowned violinist Tina Turner, lead guitarist Jon Clayton, vocalist Xavior Patterson, cellist and vocalist Jacqueline May, violinist Ana Zae, and banjoist Melissa Gail Klein, with audio engineering by Jason Richard of Clockright Studio.
