Story
Did we really sink a guitar to the sea? Yes! We filmed the footage at the Texas Gulf Coast at Mustang Island, near Corpus Christi. It was a solid classical guitar, with sentimental value too, because it was given to Cabe by his brother, who rescued and restored it.
We filmed the guitar at sunrise, and again at sunset. The guitar floated and swam just as we hoped, holding its shape, even after tossing in the waves and crashing into the sand. Eventually, the backside panel came apart, and then the guitar started taking on water, sinking.
